Airtel network integration with Robi starts in Barisal and Kushtia

As part of the merger integration activities, Robi & Airtel are going

to integrate the network in Barisal and Kushtia from today. The combined network in these areas, will make the merged entity one step closer to creating the number one network of the country.

The combined network will give Airtelsubscribers nearly double the coverage it used to have in these areas along with superior internet speeds on a 3.5G network due to the combined spectrum. Robi subscribers will get superior internet speeds along with the improved coverage.

To get the superior network Airtel subscribers will have to go to Network option in the Settings in their handset, and manually search and select any one of the options: Airtel/Airtel2G/ Airtel3G/ 47002/ Robi3G/ Robi axiata/BGDRobi/Aktel (one of these will be visible depending on the subscriber’s handset). In addition they will need to activate the Data Roaming option on their mobile handset.

As an introductory offer, Airtel subscribers will get to enjoy free 1 GB Facebook data valid for three days, once they activate the Data Roaming option.

Meanwhile, following the successful network integration of Robi and Airtel in Chittagong, Comilla, Noakhali & Khulna, the subscribers are already enjoying wider coverage and internet experience with double strength with 3.5G network. In addition to the stronger internet service, subscribers are also enjoying the lowest call rate to the bigger robi & airtel family.
