Customers to get High Definition (HD) quality TV-channels at very affordable price

March 10, 2016: BEXIMCO Communications Limited
is
about to launch country’s first Direct-to-Home (DTH) service, a method of
receiving television signal directly from the satellite, under the brand name
‘RealVU’. The best international practices of TV services and technologies will
be implemented in Bangladesh soon.
“We are ready to provide DTH
services under the RealVU brand name vey soon which will drastically change the
viewing experience of the Bangladeshi TV audience,” said Dmitry Lapitskiy, CEO
of BEXIMCO Communications, while speaking at the press conference held at a city
hotel today, March 10. He added, “The new operator, which will initially launch
the DTH broadcasting in the metropolitan areas, will also cover the entire
country gradually thanks to ABS satellite beam. The picture quality provided by
RealVU is much better than analogue cable TV quality.”

RealVU will provide the best picture quality and sound to the viewers’
at the most affordable price. Approximate monthly bill
of the DTH will be Tk 300, where the
subscribers will get over 100 channels with more than 26 Bengali channels and
many international majors including five HD channels.
Initially
customers need to have set-top box, dish-antenna and after installation and 1st
payment they can enjoy RealVU. RealVU has 24/7 customer support service. The
RealVU customers will have the opportunity to pay the monthly bill in different
ways. BEXIMCO Communications Limited has finalized the list of distributors so
that the customers can easily get the service from the nearest location.
In December 2013, the government
awarded licenses to Beximco Communications Limited to launch DTH service in the
country BEXIMCO Communications has already received the necessary approval from
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to launch the service.
The company is at the final stage to offer the new revolutionary format of TV
viewing to the customers.

DTH is a digital satellite
