October 5, 2025: Salesforce has introduced MuleSoft Agent Fabric, a platform to discover, orchestrate, govern, and observe AI agents across vendors and systems aiming to curb “agent sprawl” and give enterprises a single control plane for multi-agent workflows. Early customers include Barco, r.Potential, Rush University System for Health, and Wynn and Encore Las Vegas. The launch comes as AI agent adoption is projected to surge 327% in two years, with 40% of enterprise apps expected to embed agents within a year.
Agent Fabric combines four core capabilities: a
Registry to catalog any agent or tool for reuse; an intelligent Broker that
routes tasks across domains (supporting A2A and MCP, and the customer’s LLM of
choice); Governance to apply security, compliance, and policy controls to every
interaction; and a Visualizer that maps agent connections, decisions, and
performance for real-time observability. The solution also extends Salesforce’s
Agentforce, coordinating third-party agents that sit outside Agentforce.
Salesforce says the platform enables complex,
cross-system automations such as mortgage processing (credit checks,
e-signatures, compliance), real-time supply-chain responses (rerouting fleets,
updating SAP inventory, QC flags), and streamlined partner/employee onboarding
(IDs, access, knowledge surfacing) — all with auditable guardrails.
